Wordart.... in a Textbox?

My Dad is new to computers and completed one of the free introduction course recently... he says he was shown how to put Wordart into a Textbox, now 6 months on, cannot remember how. I've tried inserting Wordart into a Textbox and into a Table, without success - it automatically is positioned in the centre of the screen.
I've shown him how to move the WordArt to the Textbox and how to 'Group' them - but he says the method he learnt was quicker/simpler.
Anyone got any ideas how his Wordart appeared within his Textbox?

1. He could have learned to put it in a frame (select wordart object and hit Insert-Frame.

2. Perhaps he cut it and pasted it into a textbox?

3. Why the heck would you WANT wordart in a textbox in the first place? I cannot imagine... Anne Troy

Why cant you just simply drag the word art into the text box?
