Where my wife works they take name lists from colleges and develop them for printing diplomas...importing them into Quark Express v4.0 as *.txt name lists. Some of them come in tables in Word97...which of course break down too much and come in with formatting all messed up when you convert them to .txt files. They need to come in as "Bob Gene Allen" and so on all on separate lines...they come in with each name on separate lines...and if the person didn't have a middle name that even messes it up more. <br>With a group like this there are sure to be folks for whom this is a cakewalk. For my inexperienced mind it's a catwalk.<br>I'm trying to edit the nonprintable characters BEFORE conversion to .txt files to see if I can enable the transition to straighten up like I need.<br>Meanwhile, I'll monitor this thread and see if someone can sew this up for me...and post the same thread in the Quark forum. <br><br>
