Word97 - Paper Size Problem

Hi,

Bit of a strange problem here.

We have a mail merge document that is launched from an application that runs through a Citrix session. This means that ALL users use the same source document. Also, as it runs through Citrix, it is opened for ALL users in a Word session on the Citrix server (as opposed to using the locally installed Word app). Therefore document settings should be the same for ALL users.

However, we have one user for whom the document was not aligning properly. He also, upon printing, got a message about margins being outside of printable area. After having a look, it would appear that when he opens this document it's page setup changes. Rather than the paper size being A$ ,as it should be, it is set as LETTER instead.

This is quite confusing as the source document is definitely saved for A4. I have check the document defaults on his printer setup, and these are also set to A4. The default Word settings (not that it should make a difference) are for A4.

I cannot see any reason why it should open for him as LETTER. It opens as A4 for all other users.

I would be grateful for any suggestions as to why this may be happening.

Thanks,
Simon

does this user have a desktop printer attached?

No, it is a networked printer.

I have checked the printer settings, including the document defaults. Every looks OK here. However, surely the document's settings would take precedence anyway?

Thanks
