Hello,

I have a specifically formated word file that basically produces the cover and chapter pages for a type of document I regularly produce. Currently in order to make the page numbers correct I have to insert various blank pages to act as the pages I will insert once the document is printed. This is quite time consuming and makes navigating the document a pain.

Is there a simple way to adjust a pages number so I could produce pages 1,2,15,65,99 on 5 sheets rather than 100? Bear in mind that the header and footer of the document are specific and I do not want to have to reproduce them, just adjust the page number.

Thanks

Just insert section breaks for each page. Then when you insert the page number for each section, click the format button on the Page number dialog box. It will give you the option to start at whatever number you want for each section. This is true in Word 2K, assume it will also work for 2K3.
