When double clicking on word document i get the following error "Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. To see what data this error report contains, click here.
. If I go to file and then open it opens fine. I have re installed word and then reinstlled the entire suite. When I hit get the technical details for this error it gives me the ntdll.dll error. Any ideas?

hello there...
you did not mention what versions of Office and Windows that you are using so I will do my best but...
ntdll.dll is an NT Layer DLL which means that this error is from the operating system not from Office itself...
Ntdll.dll is an NT layer DLL file that controls Windows NT system functions
I would recommend using the "repair" selection off your operating system disk...
You can do this by simply inserting the disk and allowing it to auto run...when you get to the screen that askes whether you want to "install", "uninstall", or "repair" simply select "repair"
If this does not help...try copying the "ntdll.dll" file from another computer that is not having this problem and paste it in your "C:\windows\system32\" folder...
Hope this helps!
