I am wondering whether anyone else has found a problem with Comparing two documents?
I can compare the exact same two documents in either Word 2000 or WordPerfect 9 and get appropriate results. However, when performing the Compare and Merge function in Word XP the results are not usable.
What takes place in XP is that rather than integrating the changed paragraph; the entire paragraph is struck out and then inserted into the merged document.
I have ensured that in Tools, Options, Security - both documents are storing Random numbers to improve merge accuracy. What else can I do to improve this feature?
This has become a critical issue and has become a show stopper for completing migration away from WordPerfect!
