Word X Merge Wizard not recognizing FMP 7 can I shoot myself now?

I need to create a catalogue in Microsoft word using my FMP 7 database. Although the data merge window in Word has a drop down menue for Get Info, that reads "Filemaker Pro", when I browse, it does not recognize any of my databases as being Filemaker Pro.

I am running Office X, on a Mac. Is my version of office to old? Is it a Macintosh thing?

Can I get around this? I need some kind of text file by Monday!

What is it that you want to accomplish with the task?
Would a simple export do the trick?
