Word Wrap Tables 1

Is it possible to turn off the automatic word wrap on tables. I am using php to put values into it and these values are longer that the width of the screen.
I don't how long the strings will be. Thanx Dave Shaw!

What do you want to do ?
Let your table being fully seen on screen cutting long text in cells by multi-line ?
OR
Force one only line per cell even if the table is wider to fit on screen ? Water is not bad as long as it stays out human body ;-)
