WOrd wont start

I have 3 diff. machines from 3 different companies that cannot start MS Word(97 and 2k). Note that it is only ms word that is not functioning the rest of office apps are ok. I tried to install/reinstall and still the problem persist. Any idea about this problem. It occured last friday (singapore time)

I suspect it is a virus.

HI.

You should check with updated anti virus software - this is trivial..

In addition, try loading word using:
Start - Run:
WINWORD /A

This starts Word with default values and template.

You can also search the local C drive for NORMAL.DOT file and rename or delete it. This will cause Word to create a new empty template.
