I'm trying to declare a variable as a dataobject in Word, at first it worked fine; I closed and reopened the document and now dataobject is not a valid variable type.

When I try to type "Dim myDO As DataObject", DataObject is not in the list of variable types. How can I get Word to recognize DataObject as a valid variable type again?

according to the object browser, DataObject is a member of the Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library (FM20.DLL)
I guess you'll just have to set a reference to this library
