I have a machine on the network running NT 4.0 with Office 97. When trying to attach a Word document to a WinFaxPRO ver.10, I get a dreaded Blue Screen Of Death(KMODE...). Have reinstalled Word and WinFax PRO. NT is running Service Pack 6. WinFax PRO is linked to the Communication Server with a dedicated 56K modem. All other users have no problems. This machine can send out a fax normally but has the crashing problem when an attachment from Word is included. Suggestions/questions???

Not yet...don't look forward to being put on hold for an undetermined amount of time. Hoping to find a solution online first

just for elimination, have you tried to use a word doc as a template for winfax and see if it crashes??? Jay~

Yes - tried that - still a crash. Also, tested this with an Excel attachment with the same outcome, not just inherent to Word. I have reinstalled WinFax on this machine with the same problem occurring. BSOD shows a KMODE error and is directed to the WFXDNTHQ.DLL file.

The thing that baffles me is that I have 20+ other machines running the same scenario with no problems.

Still working on the puzzle, looking for that key piece...

Any other suggetstions are appreciated.
