Hi all,

Not really done any macro/office programming before so please bear with me!

Ok, basically what I want is for Word to read a document, locate data and determine where the file should be saved depending on the that data - for example, if I had a letter with a certain address in it, I would like it to automatically save this document in the correct location.

I'm not even sure if this is possible - I am aware of macros that will automatically save the file as another type in another location, but the part I really need is the reading of the data.

Thanks a lot,

CC

Actually...no. What you need is the logic to determine where to save the file. Getting (reading) the data is easy. Although you have to determine ( decide) where the data is going to be. This is more of a VBA question, and should be posted in the VBA forum.
