Having a problem with Acrobat turning the fonts of charts in Word (that have been pasted in from Excel as Enhanced Metafiles (or any other format)) to italics. Out of 8 PC's in my team only one will PDF the document correctly. I've checked all the setting with this pc to the other 7 and they're all identical!!!!.

FYI. Using Word 2000, Acrobat 4, Windows NT

Are we talking about the same document that is converting to PDF OK on one computer but not the others? And everyone has the same printer selected? And all computers have the same font in their Windows>Fonts folder? And what is the font?

Is everybody using distiller, or are they using PDFmaker for Word? Ahhhhh, I see you have a machine that goes Bing!

It is the same document that works on one and not the others. We are using a standard core-build so all fonts are identical and in the same place (Arial is the font messing up) and we're using distiller via the macro button that acrobat installs into word.

many thanks

If you are using the toolbar button 'Convert to PDF', then you are using PDF Maker for word, not distiller.

I don't know if it will make a difference or not, but if you go to File->Print and choose Acrobat Distiller from the list of printers, it will create a pdf for you. It's worth a try to see if it works... Ahhhhh, I see you have a machine that goes Bing!
