Word Templates

Hi,
I have a word template created by someone else. When someone open the template it asks questions and prompt entry into a text box. Based on the entry it populates the word templates.I need to get rid of this functionality . How can I do it?

Alt-F9 to toggle visibility of field codes.

Delete all the ASK fields.

If there are ASK fields. It very well may not be ASK fields. Start with mintjulep's suggestion first. If there are no ASK fields, then there is likely some code in a starting procedure, AutoNew, or Document_New.

That is, if you are indeed using a template file correctly, with File > New and selecting the template. If you are, as you say, "opening" the template then there may be code in Document_Open.
