Word - Set Language 2

Word keeps changing the default language and the language in opened files alrady amended to English (U.S.). I have repeatedly instructed it to use English (U.K.). Is this a bug, cockpit error or colonials getting back at the mother country?

Start Word, click on tools-language-set language.
mark your language and then click on the button standard (or is it "default"?).

This will set the selected language as standard language for all new docs...

I am having the same problem here and even when I click the default button it still goes back to american language :-(

Any ideas?

oops sorted it - it was the keyboard settings inside the regional settings on the control panel - stupid place to put that if you ask me, you would have thought the keyboard settings would be under the keyboard section of the control panel :s
