Hello Everyone:

I am working on an application for my place of employment. Please help me get some extra vacation time! This is what I'm trying to do. 1. I open an Adobe Acrobat file and manually select two columns of text: (Example):

[TAB]1065936[TAB]Screw, Hex Head (1/4-28 x 1/2") [TAB][TAB]

The [TAB] above are locations of the TABS in my PDF file. When I select the 1065936 column and the Screw, Hex column and the columns below them, copy them to the clip board and paste them into WORD, the information runs together like this:

1055351 Screw, Hex Head (1/4-28 x 2.50") 1026907 Washer (1/4" x 1/2" x 1/16") 40157X020 Spacer, Coved (1/4 x 1 x 9/16”) 1018687 Sleeve, Bearing BB1065937 Widget, Universal

The thing that I wish to do, is parse the information with a macro or VBA and format the information so it looks like this:

"1055351", "Screw, Hex Head (1/4-28 x 2.50)"
"1026907", "Washer (1/4" x 1/2" x 1/16")"
"40157X020", "Spacer, Coved (1/4 x 1 x 9/16")
"BB1065937", "Widget, Universal"
etc.

I will then be able to import the ASCII delimited text file into Excel and from there, have our Reflections program check the information from my catalogs in the Parts database.

I would really appreciate some guidance on how to accomplish this. I believe the key to this is the Part Numbers. Though they are not all the same length, the "word" does consist mainly of numbers.

Please let me know... I need some time off!

Larry
