Hello,
I have a group of users that are sharing a network directory. When someone opens a word document, it create a temp source file in the same directory. Problem is that, when the file is closed, the temp files remain in the directory. How do I go about making word delete the tmp files upon closure of the source file?? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

have you tried search - looking for "temp files" in the subject heading?

I know where they are. I want to know if there is a way to make word delete them upon closing the original file opened. which is what it is supposed to do.

your original post says it even - 'when the file is closed, the temp files remain in the directory'

if you had done the search (which I did btw), you would have found you have problem with permissions
