I have set up a few forms where users can select a project and send the details directly to word. However, as Word opens the form it is merging with, it requires the user to login to the Access database a second time.
When I try using MSQuery to set up the link to the database, I get an error in Word: Word was unable to open the datasource. I was trying to set this up by choosing MSQuery, New Data Source, I type in a name, then have tried choosing either Driver do Microsoft Access or Microsoft Access Driver. I click Connect and select the database, which is on a mapped drive. I go to the mapped drive and choose the *.mdb file. Under System Database, I choose the *.mdw file on the same drive. Then I click Advanced and fill in the username and password and click OK. Then I select the Save my user ID and password in the data source definition box, answer yes on the encryption, then click OK. After choosing the data source I just set up, choosing the table or query and fields that I want to use, I have it return the data to Word, where I receive the error.
