Hi
I have a Word 2003 template with a couple of macros embedded one of which I need to change. My problem is that when I go into Tools -> Macro -> Macros nothing shows up and nothing shows in the VBA editor either.
Try hitting Alt_F11 to bring up the VBA screen. Look for any Modules and/or right click on ThisDocument and select View Code and see if there is any code there. We have GroupWise at our office and it will add code to Office products (can be rather annoying).
Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestion but the VBA editor comes up blank too.
I know for a fact that there is at least 1 macro in this template as whenever you open it the current date is added. I need this macro changed to show the created date instead.
Open the template and press Alt-F9. If, where your variable date appears, you see { DATE } instead, you have a filed, not a macro. Simply edit the field to read { CREATEDATE }, press Alt-F9 again and re-save the template
