Word Locks up when you try to load the Program

I need some help here. I am currently running Windows XP with Office 2000 Pro. All of my Office programs run with no problems except Word. When I load word it brings up the Word 2000 Splash and locks there. Sometimes it comes up with a Memory Error but then it locks with the blue screen of death. I have tried reinstalling and installing Office in a Different Directory but to no avail. Does anyone have an idea of what i can do?

Your problem is that you have a damaged normal template. Just follow the instructions on Dreamboat's site on renaming normal.dot and it will fix the problem.
