Word hyperlink issue

When clicking on a Word link inside Internet Explorer, the IE opens the word-doc inside a new IE. Is it possible to make IE open up winword.exe and view the word-doc in Word instead of a new browser?

Found it myself:

In an explorer(not IE), tools - folder options - Filetype, choose .doc and find options for word-docs, press "Advanced" and unhook Open in same window. Next time, Word appears instead of a new browser.
