Hi,

I was messing around with Word the other day, with WOrd Art and all the effects you can assign to your text (eg. flashing text, 'blurry' effects etc.) Somehow I have set it to automatically have this effect on every worksheet I open, and I can't remember what menu I need to go in to change it back!

I've been ages looking for the right place to look!

If anyone knows how - please let me know!!

Try either right-clicking or following the Format drop menu to Font. Anything out of the ordinary left checked here?

If not this, an easy out should be deleting your Normal.dot file. This will get recreated next time you start Word, but without whatever universal format changes you've applied. (Warning: you'll lose any other customizations you may have made to Word when you do this, so it might be advisable to save Normal.dot to something like Normal.old until you're sure you really want to dispose of it).

Hi,

I am sure that you have already fixed this, but I thought I would give a simple fix for anybody looking up this issue in the future.

Go to format font,go to the text effects tab, select none, then reset default to make that the normal.dot default font before clicking okay.
