HELP! Have a layout that was sent to me in Word and I need to get it into AI to prep for output with minimal messing about. It includes text and graphics.
Suggestions?

And, of course, this is work-related, so time is running out...

thanks!

...the only way really is to pdf from word to acrobat pro, outline text and import into illustrator...

...if you don't have word, send to me and i will attempt to get it to pdf outlined fonts for you...

...use:

...put your own email in, upload file, copy link from email received up to tek tips for download...

...or send it to my email here:

You might find that the included graphics are of too low resolution for high quality print output. The word thing will also be in rgb.

I have never had any luck being able to place a Word thingy, other than just text, into any graphics app. Alwyas found it less frustrating to just redo the thing.

You might try Apepp's solution, but check the graphics quality and make sure to change to cmyk.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4 & G5

...yes, all sorted, turns out the word file was one complete graphic in the end, no text at all...

...have informed eric of the situation...
