Word -> Acrobat: Screen Tip Problem

I am using MS Word 2000 & Acrobat 7 Pro.

In the Word doc I create a link and define a screen tip. When I hover over the link in the Word document the screen tip pops up correctly.

After converting to a PDF (via Word toolbar "Adobe PDF" -> "Convert to Adobe PDF") the screen tip is not displayed in the PDF. Instead, the actual URL of the link appears in the popup.

Am I not selecting a required option? Any suggestions?
