I am trying to set up a footer in word 2000 - I have got the information that I require into the footer (Pulled from the system - date and path) but I want to justify the date left and the path right on the same line. Word seems to treat the whole footer line as one paragraph and thus I cannot justify different parts of the footer separately.
I have set up Excel to do this (easily) and I would like my Word docs to match.

Any ideas?

Hi!

You can try to do the following:
-Insert a 1Lx2C table in the footer.
-In the left cell you justify left and in the right one you justify to the right!

Hope this helps!

Insert filename field, hit tab, type date.

Select entire line of text. Hit format-tabs. Hit Clear all. Then set a right-align tab at the location of the right margin. (if right margin is at 6.5", set a right-aligned tab at 6.5")

The table idea is nice, but only very helpful if you're including graphics/logos.
