word files pop-ups the first time i open word 2000

The first time I open word 2000 i get about 20 files pop-up,
Then i closed them and it does'nt happened again until the next time i login and open word, there isn't any files in the startup folder.pls advice what to do?

Are there any macros recorded to open these files when you open word? Does it happen when you close word then reopen it without logging out?

Try finding your normal.dot
WHen found, rename it to normal.old
Restart Word
Same behavior?
