don't know if this is the right forum but here goes:
We have got a laptop that has got a copy of office sbe on it and has been running for sometime. suddenly word has decided that it is not going to load. when the shorcut/actual app file is clicked the application causes a general protection error and fails to load the application. nothing has been uninstalled from the system that could have taken any system files with it, the are no viruses on the system (did a virus check and live update)
the application was working fine earlier in the day and then suddenly decided not to work. I have tried to reinstall word from the cd but to no avail, still get the same error. the problem is that this happened before on the same laptop and i couldn't recover word, so the system was formatted. i don;t really want to do that again.
has anyone experienced this ?
