All of a sudden, I noticed that the usual "send email" button had vanished in MS Word (Office 2000). I tried sending via the menu, but I get an error message that I must log on to Microsoft Exchange to get my address book. I don't even have Exchange, but use Outlook instead. Have no idea how the computer mixed this up, nor can I find a setting to change it back.

Any suggestions?????

Many thanks

It sounds like it is looking for Exchange Server, not the Exchange that came with Win95. Have a look in Outlook to see if client for Microsoft Exchange is installed in the services. Then make sure that the path setting to the address book is both valid and correct.

Thanks for the response. It turned out that that wasn't the problem, at least I don't think it was. I fixed the problem eventually by running MS Word's "Find and Repair" program in the help menu, and after the computer rebooted, voila!
