I have a user that has 5 word docs that she wants to combine; - within the doc - there are some redundant fields that she would like to populate when something is typed into one field.
Should I create a master and work from there or does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks bunches,
Karrie

Hi Karebear,

You can combine the documents easily enough, via Insert|File.

As for the second part, I gather you want to be able to type something in one place and have it replicated elsewhere in the document. There are at least two ways of doing this:
1. Set the document (or at least the part where you want to input the variable information) as a Word form; and
2. Set the document with a set if input fields (eg ASK, FILLIN or MACROBUTTON) fields. ASK fields create their own bookmarks, but you'd have to manually bookmark FILLIN and MACROBUTTON fields.

In either case, you end up cross-referencing to the original data via REF fields.

If you post back which approach you'd prefer, we can give you some more pointers.

Cheers
