Word did not save the document

I have created a document from within Sharepoint Team Services using a Word Template. When I attempt to save it to the appropriate sharepoint subdirectory, I get the message: Word did not save the document.

I looked this up on the Microsoft Knowledgebase and it suggested that I restart the IIS web server. We did that but still no cigar.

Any suggestions ?
