Word crashes when inserting labels

I have a problem with Word 97 when I try to add an Envelope or label and click on the address book word crashes me out saying Winword caused an invalid page fault in module mapi32it.dll.
I have tried re-appling SP2 and I have removed and inserted outlook address book in mail and fax in control panel with little luck.
Please help I am running out of ideas!!
