Team,
I have a question on word/pdf combo and was wondering if you have come across this kind of requirement.

One of our users (who normally stores documents/pdfs/etc in Livelink) wants to do is to generate a set of pdf’s from a master document. The pdf’s will be generated as per the section name or tag titled Global or Singapore or Tokyo or Italy, etc. If she wants a combo then the section will be titled Global, Singapore, Italy so that that section will be available to all 3 regions. If titled only Singapore, then only Singapore pdf will have that section.

Note that she is also okay with standalone software that will do the above and she will store the generated pdf’s in Livelink for teams to use the pdf’s across the world.

With the above logic I looked at adlib express but could not figure how to generate such pdf’s. I could not find any option. Adlib express was suggested by several people as a tool that might do this. I also tried the bookmark option in adlib express but that generates pdf’s in full and not by bookmarks.

I think if you style or bookmark a document section’s then you can generate pdf’s based on bookmark. Is this true.

Any inputs will be useful for us.

Thanks.

On a recent projetc I used the adlib's DPI and /or xml input file to staple together a bunch of different documents found thru a category based search.

The xml or dpi instructions give you a lot of flexibility in defining book marks etc.Try the examples that came with adlib that is what i did although yours seems to be quite the opposite of what I did.

At fisrt looks to me if you could get into the PDF api's you could probably do it.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
