Hi guys,
I usually receive a word file (.doc) in Arial which i have to change the font style to Miller Text type. When i select the font all the Arial Italics in the text are automatically converted to Bold Italic Miller text. I don't know why is that. I DO have the regular italic in my library of fonts. Here is the sample

When i copy and paste the text in InDesign i can change the italics one by one but it takes too long.

Any help or ideas why Word 2007 does that?

Cheers,

I'm not certain why it's doing it, but you can make Word automatically change things to the correct format by following the following steps:
1. Get to the Replace screen (keyboard shotcut <Ctrl> H)
2. In Find what: box, type in ^?
3. Click the Format button on the bottom left of the Find and Replace box.
4. Select Font...
5. Select under the Font style: Bold Italic & click OK
6. In the Replace with: box type ^&
7. Click the Format button on the bottom left of the Find and Replace box
8. Select Font...
9. Select under the Font style: Not Bold & click OK
10. Click Replace All button

Thanks Zeglar, interesting info! i try if now.

Cheers,
S
