OK, I finally (with some help) created a cool template that will allow our system users the ability to request additional features or bug fix... or whatever they want added to the system.

What I would like to do is have the template out on the network and when opened a number will appear in the "Tracking Number" field that I created. I don't know if this is even possible, but when tracking the request from beginning to end it would be easier if we have something that will uniquely identify each request. I know worse case as the request come in the systems team could enter a number but I was wondering if there was a feature that could handle this? Also I don't want to start off with a 1.... something like 0001, and then work it's way up. I did mess with the auto number feature, but didn't have much luck. Thanks

I gave it a shot but I kept getting an error message. I think that the bookmark wasn't working. I was able to save it with a new file name and number... like:

Request006

Which works well, but if I could then get that name to populate on the form it would be perfect. I'm still working on it though. Thanks.

Ah. They are using a bookmark called order. Put cursor where you want Tracking number and Insert-Bookmark and call it TrkNo or whatever (a one-word name). Then, change the code to go to the bookmark TrkNo instead of Order. Did you catch that?

Email file if you need help.
