Word and ASP

Is it possible to open a word document from an asp page and fill it with data from a form or db?

Possible, but horrible.
I'm having all manner of problems with it. But then, I'm thick. Basically you use your ASP file to write in Rich Text Format - which you then create a .doc with.

This is the offical Microsoft explanation and it's the best one I've found :

But it's horrible.

Don't do it!! - In my opinion.
MS Word was NOT designed as an unattended automation server. It can be done but it is not at all an acceptable or might I add a scalable solution. Please refer to my previous post on this forum.
