Every time I select MS Word to run it installs itself, why? I am using Office 2000.

Also, after using Word for a while it will suddenly state that the harddrive is full even when there is next to nothing on the drive. Has anyone got an answer?

I would be grateful if someone could help.

Regards

I don't care what others say. It's only breathing that gets you through life:)

How are you starting Word? Are you clicking a shortcut or the .exe file? You need to make sure that you are starting winword.exe.

Do you get the "Preparing to install" box? If so it is not installing Word, it is only checking that the right components are already installed before launching the prog.

Thanks for the responses so far.

In answer to your questions:

1. MS Word is started using Start, Programs, Microsoft Word.

2. Yes I am getting the "Preparing to install" box. However prior to installing MS Me I never had this problem. Why is it happening now?

Does any one have any answers concerning this other problem of the full drive?

Once again thanks for your suggestions.

Could be a problem with your normal.dot file. Try ditching it and let Word create another. Also, delete any temp files.
