We use MS windows 2000 Professional with MS Office 97. We have setup most of the end users as Restricted Users in Windows 2000. Now I am finding out that the Spell Checker in MS Word 97 is not available, but works fine in MS Excel 97. Anyone have any ideas other than giving the end users more priviledges?

Word 97 spell Checker

Office 97 nd components (Word, Excel) don't run very well in Windows NT/ Windows 2000. At least for NT there is a special 'Office 97 for Windows NT' version. This has to do with multiple users and access rights to files etc. That it will work in Excel is because MS Excel didn't originate in MS but some external company, and doesn't have much shared code with the other Office components...
