Word 97 - forcing landscape

Trev: Is it always the same file? Or is this file always recreated by oracle?
If it's the same file, why don't you just set it to landscape?
If it's not, you could record a macro in your normal.dot file that switches to landscape. When you record the macro, make sure you create a toolbar button for it. That way, you open the oracle file and hit the button and voila!
Let me know if you need more help than that. I'm terribly curious why you don't just use Excel, tho.

Thanks for the reply. What the problem is, is that it is a report file. There are two options for this report - one with headings that is to be printed directly through Word - and one without, that is taken into Excel for some further manipulation. It is just that we wanted to make it as easy as possible for the users to view/print the Word file and thought it would be very useful if we could have 'pre-formated' the document.
The Macro idea is a good one - it should at least speed up that side of it.

You can create autotext entries for your headers and footers and such, Trev. And then record macros that use your autotext entries.

I think I have done it - using your Macro Idea. I have created a macro that changes the page layout then saves it as a word document and then quits Word. This allows me to run Word from a command line in a batch file - the job that creates the file and then e-mails it.
