Word 97 doc with macro HANGS

I’m having problems with MS Word. I’m running Metaframe XPs, and I’ve downloaded the Microsoft Office 97 instructions from the citrix web site, but when I attempt to open a word template (with macros), it hangs.

I used the “change user /install”, and ran the Office97.cmd from the “Application compatibility Scripts\Install” folder, but still no luck.

Any thoughts?

Could be access problems. Try running Filemon to see if this is the case.

This problem seemed to be caused by NEC 1800 Superscript PCL6 drivers. We removed the NEC SS printer, and nec*.* (printer driver) files from the server. Removed all NEC printer references from the management console, and individual user. Replaced the NEC printer with an HP, and now Word seems to be functioning properly.
