My word doc has about 50 pages. I have included a table of contents at beginning which I put in using References-Table of Contents.
Ive updated the pages, can I get the table of contents page to update accordingly or do I need to delete it and readd?

hahaha just found it.. Theres an Update table button in the Table of contents box.

Well, its almost perfect.
I have my ToC, looks good except the Headings.
setup thusly:
page
heading 1------------------1
heading 2----------------1
heading 2----------------5
heading 1------------------8
heading 2----------------8
heading 2----------------12
heading 2----------------17
etc., etc.

Can I make it so the heading 1's do not have same page number as heading 2 or no page # at all?

Hi robmazco,

If you select one of the heading 2 lines in the TOC, you can format the tabs for that paragraph by deleting the existing tab and inserting a new one (without leader dots)that moves the page# off the visible portion of the page. Since the TOC Styles are formatted to 'automatically update' by default, the effect should propogate to all the TOC entries at that heading level.

Cheers
