I want to create a list of reference documents at the start of my doc like this:
Reference 1: The First Document
Reference 2: The Next Document; Volume 1
Reference 3: Another Document, a Letter dated 1/1/10...
and so on.
Then in the text, I want to make entries like this:
"...The First Document (Ref. 1)..."
and have the "(Ref. 1)" update if I change or renumber the list of references. I realise that's a long explanation of something that's probably kindergartenly-simple to do, but what should I do?
