I have a document that is intended to be printed front and back. Mirror margins works fine for this, and we have done this for a long time. However, there is one section of the document that we want to print as "normal" - front only. When I apply the Normal page setup to THIS SECTION, it actually changes the entire document to Normal. When I change it back to Mirror Margins for this section it changes the entire document back to Mirror Margins.

This is true regardless of the section selected to change. The entire document seems to be linked in some manner that I haven't figure out.

Shouldn't it be possible to format page layout as mirror margin or normal by sections? If it is, I can't figure out how to do it.

Of course it should, but it doesn't work. Despite giving every impression that you are making a section-specific setting, Word applies the setting to every section in the document. The only way to do this is to ignore the mirror setting and manually apply the margins you want.

Enjoy,
Tony

OK, thanks for confirming that this doesn't work as expected.

I suppose we could save the sections as separate files, also.

Cheers,

Dave
