Word 2010 Custom Button Images

Good morning, has anyone cracked the issue of getting non-standard images on to Word 2010 buttons?

These pages would appear to offer a solution (that I may, or may not, be able to master!!) but as I don't have sufficient privileges on my work PC I can't download and install The Office Custom UI Editor.
