Word 2007 won't record Macro 1

I tried to record a Macro to change my Word Options (like I could in 2000) but the recorder does not recognize my changes. I can record other macros.

Can anyone help?

The macro recorder does not record everything it could. What option changes are giving you trouble?

Tony, thanks for replying. That's a major bummer! Why would Microsoft do that?

Anyway, I'd like to know all the ones that would have an impact on Word processes. For instance I'd want to make sure spell\grammar check is off when a document is used which consists of a lot of medical terms.

I don't have a list, or anything like that - but the proofing options do record, so I'm not quite sure what you are having trouble with.

Ah, I see. I went through EVERYTHING (including proofing) and nothing recorded. I just tried only the Proofing and as you stated, they do record. That's good enough for now. Thanks for your help.
