Hi,
I've recently started using Office 2007 on my new PC. In Word the new template selection dialog box is a big improvement -on Word 97, I skipped 2003- but there seems to be a somewhat annoying flaw.
I've about 10 templates which I've made. Some are used almost daily, some quite rarely. To access them in Word 2007 I hit 'New' and the template dialog appears with it's attractive new interface, then I hit 'My Templates' and it brings up a second dialog box, which appears to be the old template dialog box, which contains my templates. So to get to my templates I now have to navigate two dialog boxes!
Is there any way to get Word to display my templates in its nice new template dialog box?
The templates which I've recently used appear in the first tab of the new template dialog box called 'Blank and recent', is there any way to get all my own created templates to appear alongside 'Blank document' and stay there all the time regardless of how often used? If possible I'd like to remove the 'New blog post' template from there as well as it's not something I'll ever use.
I do not use any of the bundled Word templates ever (except if you count 'Blank document') so at the moment the nice new Word template dialog box seems to serve only one purpose that being to allow me to open the old not-so-nice my templates dialog box!! Are the designers nuts!?
Any ideas how to rectify this problem would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
