Word 2007 - Can't Save After Running Macro in Form

I have a form in Word 2007 (.docm) made up of legacy and content controls. The form was fine until I plugged in a couple of macros for copying and pasting data and a spell checker because it is protected.

I can open and enable macros and then even save the document but after I run any macro, I get the message: "A File Error Has Occurred"

At this point I can only save the document as .doc or other format. The user needs to be able to save and reuse the document.

Anybody experience this? I have searched the web for a resolution but no luck. Even have the Hotfix for Word from Microsoft installed.

Thanks in advance!!

What is the code behind your macros? Are you using any objects in said code?

Also, have you tried recreating the document, in case it's a case of data corruption? Perhaps you have a backup copy you can test?

Thanks to your advice, I reverted to a previous copy of my form and tested it. I was able to copy both macros, run them and save.

Not sure how the word document became corrupted. This has never happened to me before.

Thanks!!

Not sure how the word document became corrupted. "

Do not even bother trying to figure that out. Unfortunately, this happens with Word.
