Hello,

I'm very new here and am not entirely certain I've posted in the correct forum. Forgive me if I haven't but I work at a small finance company and I am tasked with maintaining our department's training manual. It's fairly large and includes a table of contents.

I want to make the TOC auto-update itself so that way, say if page 32, Department Guidelines and Regulations is bumped to page 34 due to any changes and updates, the display on the TOC automatically changes from 32 to 34. Is that possible with or without VBA assistance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If you set up your TOC, referencing the Page Number, it will automatically readjust when you refresh the TOC.

Piece of cake if the document has been set up using heading styles and Word's TOC feature.

If (as I suspect) everything has been manually typed, then you need to read Word's help about heading styles and tables of contents.

I kind of was putting off the table format but in the end it all worked out real well and updates perfectly. Thanks for the assistance.
