Ok here is the deal. I'm doing an interview that is a Question and Answer format. So I want first Q. then the Question. The next line I want the A. then the answer. So here are a couple of questions:

1. How do I stop word from putting in an R on the next line (you know since it comes after Q it must be next)?

2. Why on some lines does it indent correctly and on others it does not - even though I do exactly the same thing on each one?

3. Is there an easy way of doing this that I have not figured out yet?

Many thanks to everyone for all your anticipated help!

Try Tools > Autocorrect. You find lots of options there and can switch them off if you don't want them.

If I had a lot of Q and A sentences, I'd first do a dummy:
Q) VWXYZ
A) VWXYZ
Cut-and-past to get a lot of these, then fill in. Spellcheck at the end, so if you missed any dummies they will be picked up then.

Thank you both. I knew I should have known that but well I guess I didn't. Thanks again - knew I could get the help here as I always do!

kandi - I'm glad you got it sorted out.

Might I suggest you click on the link at the bottom left of the helpful posts (not this one) that says "Thank [MakeItSo/Madawc] for this valuable post!"?

Good point. thank you for suggesting that as I do tend to forget to do that and I do get great help here!
