Word 2003 Closing

I have a user that when ever he hits the small X to close out the document he was working on, word shuts down. I have already tried repairing office, but that did not work. Also I have looked in the settings of word nothing looks out of the ordinary. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it thanks.

Which 'x' and which version of Word?

The problem is happening on Word 2003, and Word closes when the user clicks on the smaller black x.
