Word 2003 automatically uses last used printer.

My problem is with word 2003. When i print a label to my thermal printer by going to file->print and selecting it and everything prints ok. Then i close out of word and come back in later and type a document that i want to go to my (windows default)laserjet printer. Now when i type the letter and click the print up in the toolbar it tries to print to the last used(thermal) printer. Is there anyway to tell word that every time it opens to set the default printer to my windows default and not select the last used. Thanks, Tim.

One way is to create an AutoExec macro that selects the default printer everytime you launch Word.

Perhaps a better option would be to create a custom label print macro that switches to the label printer, sends the label to the printer and then switches bac to the default printer.
